Amber Walker

Amber Walker is a twenty-four year old emerging artist, residing in Whitehorse, Yukon. She was born and raised in California and made her way to Northern Canada in 2007. Amber's first exhibition,A Tree in Time, was held in the Yukon Arts Center Community Grotto. She has participated in several group exhibitions since then. Amber was presented with the "Most Promising Emerging Artist" award at SYANA's First Nations Art Festival in 2008. Walker's most recent community project was the "Kebec: 400 Years of French Canadian History" mural, where she worked with two other artist to portray the vibrant French-Canadian culture that resides locally.
