Deanna (Dee) Bailey was born in Calgary and has resided all over Alberta. In 2007 she completed her art and biology studies at the University of Lethbridge and University of Alberta. In 2010 she moved to the Yukon for employment with a wilderness guiding company.
Dee's strong love of nature and the outdoors is often the subject matter of her pieces and she primarily enjoys collage, drawing and painting. Dee draws inspiration from nature, wildlife, environmental issues, folk art, music and scientific illustration.
Interested in pushing the boundaries of two dimensional art, she has recently been using modelling clay as paint. She is also interested in finding new ways to present scientific illustration.
