My Yukon mining career began in Faro in the assay lab, where I met the greatest gal! From there I went to a uranium extraction plant in the Florida phosphate pits and got an engineering degree - then came back to the Yukon.
After decades of travel photography, I became interested in video due to my brother's studies in film. I love to put together travel videos from exotic locations with pop music from the same regions - and I've had some success on YouTube. I also get a kick from putting together video segments into full-motion Video Screen Savers for PC computers - with a focus on Yukon (and exotic) wildlife, and hypnotic patterns of motion in nature.
Lately I've started exploring copper work - combining the meditative work of forming "bowls" with the creative aspect of individualized decoration and the unpredictable effects of patina.
Currently, I teach part-time at Yukon College in the Continuing Education department and undertake projects with local engineering firms.
I volunteer with the Yukon Art Society as Treasurer.
