Getting Started with Oil Paints

Course Description
Get a taste for oil painting while gaining insight to becoming a better artist. Much of the knowledge and skills taught in this course are transferable to other art mediums and can be a foundation to your practice. Oils may seem intimidating but are more forgiving; acrylics are easy to “over work” and harder to fix once dried. For this reason, oils are beneficial to use when learning.

During this course, you will be utilizing drawing skils to map out your paintings and work layer by layer with oil paints, mediums and glazes. You are given a taste of still life, figure and portraiture painting which allows you to decide which area to explore further.
