Make it in May

We value the importance of community and cultivating an atmosphere of growth for
artists of all levels. One way to promote creativity, exploration and practice is to offer
more studio time. This is an encouraging
opportunity for artists to be immersed in
creativity where others are dedicated to creating, and practicing
similar methods and
mediums of art and craft. Inspiration and motivation tend to spark within these
environments, and the creative process is nourished allowing artists to push past
boundaries and obstacles.

Hosted by Juliann Fraser, this art club for burgeoning painters began in September 2016 for the purpose of establishing a community hub for a hobby that is often done in isolation. Since then it has enjoyed regular attendance by a number of emerging artists who specialize in various mediums, including watercolour, acrylic, oil, charcoal, pastels, and has expanded to include plein air outings organized by its members. Bring your own tools  supplies and creative spirit; equipment such as easels and boards are provided for use by Arts Underground.
