The Yukon Art Society and Arts Underground recognize the vital power of art and creativity as tools for activism and expression. Now is the time to use our creative strengths and resources to speak out for the safety, security, and fundamental rights of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) in our community and throughout the world.
This Friday and Saturday, please join us for our first Drop-in Poster Making session. We are offering open studio space and art supplies to anyone who wishes to make posters and signs for this Saturday’s Solidarity Vigil, or any other assembly advocating for the lives of BIPOC people.
Please book a time to drop in so we can ensure that we maintain social distancing measures during your visit. Each scheduled session represents 1 person. If you are planning to come with 1-2 others, please schedule the time separately.
Thank you to Nakai Theatre for the material donations!
