Handbuilding a great way to get into pottery, allowing you to build a multitude of shapes with a small amount of equipment and a little imagination! During this 2-session course, instructor Amberley Cooke will teach basic handbuilding techniques to make numerous possible projects, such as plant pots, mugs, push plates and bowls. We will touch on various surface design methods including adding texture and using underglaze.

This workshop is suitable for makers at all skill levels: some clay experience is great, but beginners will also enjoy.

Participants can expect to make 3 to 5 different projects of their choice. Once pieces are designed and built, participants can pick from a few choices of glazes and their work will be fired and completed for them later on. Expect works to be completed and ready for pick up in 4 to 5 weeks. You will receive an email from Arts Underground when your pieces are ready for pick up.

Before the first class, please purchase 1 bag of M340 clay (firing and glazing included)
