Classic bookbinding begins with sewing signatures together to create the text block. This course will cover folding paper for signatures, sewing them together using cords or tapes and gluing the spine of the book. For this project, the text block will be wrapped with heavy drawing paper and covered with a decorative dust jacket in the style of Chinese paperbacks.
All materials and tools will be provided, but if you have your own tools, feel free to bring them!
