Nature...

Nothing prepared me for what I found in the Yukon when we moved to Whitehorse last year.

For the first three months I couldn’t draw a single line. I felt paralyzed with so much beauty around me: the majestic mountains, the forests, the crystal clear waters in lakes and rivers, the splendid rocks everywhere and the amazingly bright light. I needed to capture it all.

This exhibition is an homage to nature and what I see everyday in this unspoiled region.

I printed, painted and collaged the peace I find in close contact with nature, the silence when I walk the trail alone, the long and dark winter, the hidden life in pebbles and rocks, the solitude I have felt when there is nothing but trees and mountains around me that I have come to enjoy. A lot.
