Join the 2020-21 Artist in the School Catalogue
Are you a Yukon Artist interested in sharing your talents with students?
We are seeking artists from all disciplines to become part of our Artist in the School Catalogue for 2020-21.
Artist in the School provides high quality, engaging and culturally diverse programming to all Yukon schools. In 2018-19, 50 artists delivered more than 5,100 arts encounters to students across the Territory. There are a wide variety of programs provided through our catalogue, including workshops in visual arts, music, dance, literary arts, theatre, and digital media.
A few things to note about 2020-21 programming:
1. Arts Programming will continue!
COVID-19 has changed how schools operate in 2020-21, but there are still many ways to deliver arts programming to Yukon students.
2. Program Delivery Options:
In-person
Artists can still deliver in-person programming.
Each school determines its own policy about having guests in the school.
All Artists doing in-person workshops will need to follow the COVID Operational Guidelines for the specific school they are working in. Please clarify these with the teacher before booking the workshop.
Not sure what to expect? Each school has its COVID Operational Plan posted on its website. The umbrella recommendations for all Yukon schools can be found here.
Online
Can your workshop be delivered on Zoom? If so, please let us know. We are creating a new online programming section of the catalogue.
