Artist Demonstration with Judy Tomlin

You're invited to join Judy on Saturday, April 13 between 1p.m. and 4 p.m. for a demonstration of how she uses her sewing machine for free-motion stitching (also called machine thread-sketching or machine doodling). This technique was used to create the landscapes as well as the more abstract pieces included in Judy’s exhibition 'Treasured Textiles'

Judy will also have a coiled basket in progress so that you can see her process.

Meet the Artist Drop-in: Anne Hoerber

Anne Hoerber is the artist behind "Waking Dreams," the exhibition of dreamlike encaustic paintings currently gracing the walls of Arts Underground.

If you haven't had a chance to see the show during our usual operating hours, we are keeping the gallery open a little late on Thursday, August 27! Anne will also be on site between 4:30pm and 6pm to say hello and answer any questions you may have about her work.

This is an informal drop-in, but please note that we have limited capacity in the gallery. If you would like to pre-book your visit, contact katie[at]artsunderground.ca
