You're invited to join us on Saturday, April 27 between 1pm - 4pm for an artist demonstration. Phoebe Gonzales Rohrbacher will demonstrate the colcha stitch on her latest piece and spinning yarn in the malacate.
Artist Demonstration with Judy Tomlin
You're invited to join Judy on Saturday, April 13 between 1p.m. and 4 p.m. for a demonstration of how she uses her sewing machine for free-motion stitching (also called machine thread-sketching or machine doodling). This technique was used to create the landscapes as well as the more abstract pieces included in Judy’s exhibition 'Treasured Textiles'
Judy will also have a coiled basket in progress so that you can see her process.
Artist Demonstration: Bronwen Duncan
Come and experience a glimpse of the inspiration and felting techniques Yukon artist Bronwen Duncan uses to create the charming flora and fauna in her new exhibition, 'The Nature of Joy' at Arts Underground. Bronwen will show us how she creates complex imagery from wool while being available for questions and conversation about her work.
This event is free and open to the public. A chairlift is available for those who require mobility assistance

Meet the Artist Drop-in: Anne Hoerber
Anne Hoerber is the artist behind "Waking Dreams," the exhibition of dreamlike encaustic paintings currently gracing the walls of Arts Underground.
If you haven't had a chance to see the show during our usual operating hours, we are keeping the gallery open a little late on Thursday, August 27! Anne will also be on site between 4:30pm and 6pm to say hello and answer any questions you may have about her work.
