Calahan Guidolin | Hidden Inhabitants

Calahan Guidolin
Hidden Inhabitants

EDGE GALLERY
July 5 - 27, 2024
Opening Reception: July 5, 5-7pm

Born and raised in Whitehorse Yukon. A passionate educator, Calahan can be found in the classrooms of PCSS, on the ski hill coaching youth on the weekends, or wandering the trails with his dog in the Whitehorse area looking for and at the diverse array of lichens that inhabit the area.

After suffering an ankle injury which restricted his hiking and skiing abilities, Calahan decided that he would try his hand at art. Captivated by the wonder and alien nature of many of the local lichens, Calahan has set out to present these ill-understood organisms in a way that may inspire others to appreciate their unique beauty in conjunction with the renowned beauty of the forests and mountains they inhabit.
