My work tends towards an impressionistic style. The realistic and impasto marks are what draw you in. I prefer painting from life whether it’s landscape, still life, or portraits. I like to use a variety of mediums and trying new things, but oil paint is like my true love.
I have long been inspired by the tools of the artist trade. There is a romanticism about the art studio, the cups full of brushes, and the bright colours. Sometimes it’s organized chaos, sometimes just chaos. But it’s a very important part of the creative process.
HYFEN
Terri-Lynn Driemeyer is a self-taught artist who signs her works as “Hyfen” and moved to the Yukon in 2010. Inspired by the wilderness, and other hidden beauty she paints mainly impressionist, plein air landscapes in oil.
