CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
For this year’s annual winter members’ exhibition, Yukon Art Society Members are invited to explore the theme of ‘celestial’.
Celestial: positioned in or relating to the sky, or outer space as observed in astronomy, "a celestial body"
The work can be literal (eg. featuring space, planets, clouds, the stars,) or up to your interpretation (eg. work using colours inspired by the northern lights)
If you’re unsure if your piece will fit the theme, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
This exhibition will be on view a little longer than in past years. It will be in both the Focus and Edge galleries from December 6, 2024 - February 1, 2025.
Our aim is to be able to switch out work as it sells/and or change up the layout in January for a fresh look. Artists are invited to bring the following:
Two-Dimensional Work
Up to three large pieces (bigger than 20”x20”)
Up to six pieces smaller than 20”x20”
Three-Dimensional Work
Up to three large pieces (must be able to fit on a plinth, max. 2’x2’)
Up to six smaller pieces (ie. cups, bowls, jewellery, clothing items)
The deadline to submit work for this exhibition is Saturday, November 30. All work will be reviewed by the curator before display to ensure it’s on theme and is ready to be hung.
All work intended to be hung on the wall must be framed, mounted on a panel, or have appropriate hanging hardware. Loose prints, paintings etc. will not be accepted. If your piece has special hanging instructions, please include them in your form submission.
All work must be available for sale and will leave the gallery upon purchase. When pricing your work, please note that the Yukon Art Society retains a 35% commission on all artwork sales. The curator reserves the right to re-price pieces that are not in line with market value and pricing.
Please ensure your work is labelled, including title, price, artist name and medium. Artists are encouraged to fill out the following form with information about their pieces: Exhibition Submission Form
To participate in this members’ exhibition, you must be registered for a 2024-25 All Access Membership, which can be purchased here.

Deadline
Please drop off your pieces by Saturday, November 30 @ 4pm.
The exhibition will be on display from December 6, 2024 - February 1, 2025, with work also available to view and purchase in our online store. An opening reception will be held from 5-7pm on December 6 and we hope you will attend.
